This stunning brooch is 18 ct gold plated and set with the most amazing quality rhinestones/Paste which look exactly like the real thing. This bird is covered in Diamond pastes Emerald pastes and a ruby paste for the eye the modelling of this brooch is wonderful especially the fanned tail individually set with emerald pastes. The brooch is stamped on the back of the head comb it is the Phrygian Cap bird mark it is very faint but it is there. The pattern number is on the end of the third tail feather. However it is so faint i cant read it i have researched this brooch and other Boucher birds. This is one of the rarest brooches i have only seen two others on the internet one with sapphires in the tail and another with rubies. This brooch shouts quality the plating is heavy the moulding is sharp it has survived in superb condition a true sign of quality.
The brooch has a lock in barrel safety pin this was only used on the best brooches and works excellently. The brooch measures 5 cm in length and 3.5 cm in height i haven't polished the brooch as the tarnish proves its age.
