Ntique diamond & garnet bird brooch. This antique 1800s pin is made of silver & gold. This bird pin features a large size special cut garnet gemstone & very old rose cut diamonds on silver & gold.

The eye of the bird looks like it has a tiny ruby in it. Such a piece is very rare & unusual.

The rose cut diamonds weigh approximately 1.80 carats; they are H to I color and SI to I clarity. The garnet gemstone weighs approximately 12 carats. This antique bird brooch has rich patina & wear from age which is normal for this age piece. This brooch measures 37 x 27mm (1.45 x 1.06 inch) and it weighs 10.7 grams.
