Antique Victorian Art Nouveau Sash Brooch With Griffin By George Steere 1900's

  

George Steere antique 1900's art nouveau victorian sash pin. It is in very nice condition with no breaks or repairs. It features a C-clasp and pin. The Griffin has a green eye... Not sure if it is glass.

It's very tiny si it may be an emerald chip... The glass cognac colored stone seems to be original to the piece. There is a hallmark on the back (partially worn): GNS&CO for George Nathaniel Steere of Providence, Rhode Island 1906 - 1911. His pieces feature high quality construction, artistry and the motifs have a mythical feel to them.
