The head of the bird is curled towards it's wing like it is preening itself. In the center of the body is a faceted rich emerald green oval prong set rhinestone.
The enameling is shades of yellow and cream with gray feathery flecks. His neck is black on the top with little tendrils of black enamel brushed down the sides of his neck slightly. His "knees" and feet are also enameled with the yellow, cream and black enamel. The inside of the wing is set with rows of sparkling crystal rhinestones and he has a red cabochon eye. Exquisite brooch that had to be done by one of the high end designers of the era.
I believe it was probably signed at one time. Looks a lot like a M. Extremely dimensional and measures about 3 1/4" from top to bottom and 2" across.
From front to back the brooch is about 3/4. Some enamel wear along the neck on the curve and probably a few small flakes here and there from age and use. We don't mark up our items by a great amount, so reasonable offers only please for store items.
