Rare Vintage UK Victorian Revival Sterling Silver Wings Garnet Gemstone Brooch

  

Gorgeous and very unusual large vintage designer Victorian revival solid sterling silver brooch in highly decorative wings design with beautiful raised polished red cabochon garnet stone, carved feather accents, domed sides with etched dots and zigzags, circle edging and topped with a central crown. Hallmarks: GM, 925, and English symbol hallmarks for foreign-made fine 925 jewellery.

Brooch: 6.7 x 3.3 cm. Garnet: 0.7 x 0.5 cm. Era for this piece is the early 1990's, it is in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of general ageing and wear-back pin is a bit bent but still highly secure. I have cleaned this gently with a silver cloth and water.
