This was totally tarnished when I found it - assume gold plate - vermeil on silver - unidentified mark - the engraved bird design is completely hand done, hand cut - elegant and fine - the very large pink gemstone tests as corundum or ruby - assume lab as it has no noticeable flaws - the brooch measures1.75 - the ruby measures 12x10x5mm approximately 4.5 carat total weight - assume Russian - though the hallmarks may be Morocco c1914 - total weight 6 grams - all in good original wearable condition.
