Vintage 18ct Gold Diamond & Ruby Swallow Bird Brooch c1970. A stunning Vintage 18ct Gold Diamond & Ruby set Swallow Bird Brooch dating to c1970, which is beautifully modelled as a Swallow in Flight carrying a Diamond in it's Beak (please study the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item's description). This wonderful Swallow Brooch, which weighs a substantial 9.5 grams, is beautifully crafted and literally captures the detail of every feather. The Brooch measures approx' 3.2cms long (measured from the tip of the tale to the Diamond) by approx' 3.3cms wide (wingspan) and has been fashioned in 18ct Gold and set with a Brilliant-cut Diamond (5 points) and with Rubies to represent the Swallow's Eyes. As shown, this fine quality Brooch is stamped with a Maker's Mark, which is indistinct together with a fineness mark'18K' confirming that it is made from solid 18ct Gold.

Overall it is in truly wonderful condition with only light signs of wear - commensurate with age. It is complete & ready to wear with it's original hinge, secure clasp clasp & pin, which work as they should.
