Vintage 18k Yellow Gold Red Coral Branch, Jade Carnelian Bird Parrot Brooch Pin

  

For your consideration is a lovely vintage mid-century modern 18k yellow gold brooch or pin made of natural undyed red coral, with two birds perched on the branch. The birds are made of bright green jade or chrysophrase and a red jade or carnelian, respectively.

The bird's beaks, feathers and tails are all made of matching 18k gold. The piece weighs 17.4 grams and measures 2.75" long by 2.5" wide at its largest points. And, while not marked, it has been expertly acid tested to confirm gold content. The piece was most likely produced in Japan, China or another Asian country. There is previous repairs with glue that we have not attempted to remove so as to not damage the coral - see photos.
