Vintage Pierre Cardin Rare find bird brooch. Bird of Paradise figural Brooch, beautifully designed by Pierre Cardin of late 1970s. This delightful brooch is made out of gold tone and silver, 19.6 grams of its weight. It is also quite large. Approximately 8cm (3 inches) long. The bird is standing on a branch and is covered with clear rhinestones distributed on the head's crest, neck, and on the wing. The elongated tail is enameled in blue/green/white color, the body in deep blue. They are all well matched and none are missing. The eye is a clear rhinestones On back shows the PIERRE CARDIN made in Italy signed, has a trombone clasp in perfect order and secure. The brooch has only aged patina on finish, the pastes are all present and original of era, the enamel work is good condition... Certainly there are some very minor chipping due to age, but non very visible Judging from its good condition, this bird was carefully watched over by an appreciative prior owner.
