Details & Condition: Early and high quality European 15K gold and palladium brooch pin featuring a bird landing upon her basket nest. This piece is well made and has been well looked after over the years. The bird looks effortlessly elegant as she flutters with her rose / irregular shaped diamond wings with her basket of pearl eggs. Composed from solid 15K rose-toned gold with an inlaid ruby gemstone for her eye. Both wings have palladium top layers, which have been etched and encrusted with 6 genuine diamonds to shine and sparkle impressively. Finally, her nest is designed as a wicker basket with intricately detailed woven and braided gold rope work, and further accented with 3 cultured pearls to act as her eggs. This great brooch is secured by an early trombone clasp pin, which is also crafted from gold. Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use.

Absolutely no missing or replaced stones or pearls. Trombone clasp is original to the piece and remains in fully-functional condition.

No visible hallmarks were found on this piece, which is not unusual for jewelry from this era. However, this piece was thoroughly X-Ray tested to confirm and guarantee the 15K gold purity and palladium of the wings. Each stone was gemstone tested and confirmed to be genuine diamond, ruby and pearl. A beautiful and completely original piece of fine European jewelry.
