Very Rare Signed Vintage c. 1942 Alfred Katz Coro Craft Sterling Vermeil & Enamels Sparrow Bird Brooch Pin. This Brooch is extremely hard to find collector gem and an important example of enamel work of its time. The Brooch is modeled in Sterling Silver and heavy plated with Rose Gold.

The design is very detailed and use of colors is incredible. The Cobalt Blue, Light Blue and Peach enamels on the wings and tail of the Sparrow make it dimensional and lively. The bright orange and yellow tone enamels are used for the belly and head. There are crystal hand-faceted pave placed all over the bird.

The Brooch is measuring 3" x 2 1/2". This Brooch is signed with "Sterling CRAFT Coro" inscribed in a square plate on the back. 1 book such mark was little used and mainly in the second half of 1942. This Brooch is in Excellent condition.

All rhinestones are present, original and bright. Enamel work is fantastic and has absolutely no losses. The rose gold plating shows no wear. I have an impression that brooch was not worn at all. Please see pictures and watch video as they are essential part of the description.
