Per an internet search, here is some info about the maker, Nettie Rosenberg. She was born Nettie Rosencrans in 1890. Her family moved from Austria to New York when Nettie was young. She later met Saul Rosenstein in NY, a man who had a women's underwear business. They married and Nettie took his last name.
Nettie worked with her sister to build a name in the world of fashion. She then started a new company in 1930 that manufactured clothing, bags, linens, perfume, and jewelry. She earned the Neiman Marcus Fashion Award in 1938.
The value of her pieces began to grow in value, some going for hundreds of dollars, back then! In 1947 she earned the prestigious Coty Award. When Nettie's business partner, Sol L.
Klein, retired from manufacturing jewelry/accessories in 1975, the Nettie Rosenstein brand stopped as well. Nettie died at the age of 90 on March 13, 1980. Her pieces continue to be highly desired and collectible.
